
Guinea’s "Ligue des Champions" Boxing Tournament Concludes with Thrilling Matches
The highly anticipated "Ligue des Champions" boxing tournament took place yesterday, February 23, at the Matam Town Hall, bringing together Guinea’s finest boxing talents for an electrifying evening of competition.
Organized by the Guinea Boxing Federation (FEGUIBOKE) under the high patronage of the Minister of Youth and Sports, the event was a major success, showcasing the skill, determination, and sportsmanship of the country’s top fighters.
The prestigious Badra Aliou Cheickna Kone Trophy, named in honor of the President of the Special Delegation of Matam for his contributions to sports development, was awarded to the tournament’s outstanding performer.
The event was attended by key figures, including AFBC Vice President and Guinea Boxing Federation President, Abdoulaye Balde, along with Mr. Keamou Bogola Haba and representatives from the International Boxing Association (IBA) and the African Boxing Confederation (AFBC). Their presence reinforced Guinea’s commitment to elevating boxing on both the African and international stage.
