
African Boxing Legends with John Nene
Based in Nairobi, Kenya, John Nene is a renowned award-winning sports journalist in Africa. He is the founder of Pamoja FM, a community radio station in Kibra. The widely travelled multimedia journalist is a former sports producer for BBC Swahili Service Radio and a renowned boxing and athletics commentator. He specialises in biographies of sports legends and is the author of the book on the famous Kenyan footballer, the late Joe Kadenge. He is also the owner of Kenya’s first ever athletics podcast – MWANARIADHA – detailing the history of the sport since the 1950s. He is currently working on the highly anticipated book – BOXING IN KENYA – from 1900.
