AFBC and IBA Organize Two Courses Alongside African Youth Championship in Conakry

The African Boxing Confederation (AFBC), in partnership with the International Boxing Association (IBA), is conducting two important training programs alongside the African Youth Championship currently taking place in Conakry, Guinea.

The first is a Referee & Judge (R&J) course, covering certification from 1-Star up to 3-Star level. It is being attended by 36 international officials from countries including Saudi Arabia, Iran, Bangladesh, Iraq, and Bahrain. Among them are 31 men and 5 women.

The second is an International Technical Official (ITO) course, with 5 participants representing Rwanda, Botswana, Guinea, and Libya.

Both courses were officially opened by Mr. Yohannes Birhane, Interim Secretary General of AFBC. AFBC President Mr. Eyassu Wossen, Vice President Mr. Alpha Baldé, and Board Member Mr. Awil Gele were also present and extended their best wishes to all participants.

The sessions are being led by Mr. Rajcoomar, Chairperson of the AFBC Referee & Judge Committee.
