AFBC Announces Upcoming Training Courses for Coaches and Officials

The African Boxing Confederation (AFBC) has announced a series of training courses aimed at enhancing the skills and expertise of coaches and referees/judges (R&J) across the continent. These initiatives are part of the Confederation’s commitment to fostering the growth of boxing in Africa while upholding high standards of competition and officiating.

The first training, a 1-2 Star Coaches Course, will take place in Zone 2 from January 20 to 29, 2025, with the exact venue to be announced soon. This will be followed by a 1-Star Referees and Judges Course in Ghana, Zone 2, from February 3 to 10, 2025. Lastly, a 1-2 Star Referees and Judges Course will be held in Mozambique, Zone 4, from February 26 to March 2, 2025.

Led by experienced AFBC and IBA-certified instructors, these courses are designed to equip participants with valuable knowledge and certifications, contributing to the standardization of boxing practices across the continent. Coaches and officials are encouraged to seize this opportunity to enhance their skills and contribute to the sport's development.
