AFBC Engages in High-Level Talks in Dubai to Address Organizational Challenges

The African Boxing Confederation (AFBC) has entered crucial discussions and negotiations in Dubai to address ongoing challenges within the organization. The talks, which commenced yesterday, are being led by AFBC President Eyassu Wossen, Vice President Siyabulela Mkwalo, & General Luyoyo, and Mr. Lukelo Willilo.

Given the complexity of the issues at hand, the discussions could not be concluded on the first day and are set to continue today. President Eyassu Wossen reaffirmed the AFBC’s commitment to resolving long-standing disruptions that have hindered the progress and unity of African boxing.

“So far, the discussions and negotiations are going well. Our discussions are focused on resolving challenges for the sake of boxing development, our athletes, and the future of African boxing,” President Wossen stated.

He further urged the boxing community and national federations to rely solely on official communications from AFBC. “We have noticed false information being circulated. We ask everyone to wait for official statements from AFBC with full disclosure on the outcomes of our discussions and negotiations,” he added.

The AFBC remains committed to transparency and the betterment of boxing across the continent. Further updates will be provided as the negotiations progress.
