AFBC Issues Warning Against Unauthorized Training Course Announcements

The African Boxing Confederation (AFBC) has issued a strong warning to all national federations regarding misleading announcements made by an unauthorized group falsely claiming to represent AFBC.

This fraudulent group has been making false statements about the 2025 African Elite Men and Women Championship, as well as claiming to organize refereeing, judging, and coaching courses without any official authorization. AFBC emphasizes that these announcements are entirely illegitimate and should not be recognized by national federations.

AFBC has officially confirmed that the 2025 African Elite Men and Women Championship will take place in August 2025, with the host country to be selected through a formal bidding process. Any prior claims by the unauthorized group regarding the event’s organization are completely invalid.

Additionally, AFBC stresses that the refereeing, judging, and coaching courses being promoted by this illegal group are not sanctioned and should be disregarded. National federations are strongly advised not to engage with or respond to any communication from this entity.

AFBC urges all federations to uphold the integrity of the sport by only recognizing officially sanctioned activities.
