AFBC President Eyassu Wossen Arrives in Conakry to Advance African Youth Boxing Championship Preparations

Mr. Eyassu Wossen, President of the African Boxing Confederation (AFBC), arrived in Conakry today for a strategic business visit focused on overseeing preparations for the highly anticipated African Youth Boxing Championship, scheduled for April 2025.

Mr. Eyassu was warmly received at the airport by Alpha Balde, President of the Guinea Boxing Federation & AFBC Vice President, alongside members of the local boxing community, journalists, and government officials. During his stay, Mr. Eyassu is scheduled to meet with Guinea’s Minister of Sports and Youth, where discussions will center on the country's logistical readiness, event infrastructure, and collaborative strategies to ensure the championship's success.
