EAPCCO Sports Festival Boxing Championship Kicks Off Today in Ethiopia

The much-anticipated Boxing competition of the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization (EAPCCO) Sports Festival officially kicks off today, April 29, 2025, at the Ras Hailu Sports Training and Education Center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

This exciting event will bring together boxers from police forces across Eastern Africa, including Ethiopia, Uganda, South Sudan, and Kenya. The championship will run until May 3, 2025, featuring spirited contests and showcasing regional police athletic talent.

The Ethiopian Boxing Federation has extended its full support to the event by providing both material and technical assistance to ensure the smooth and professional delivery of the boxing tournament.

In addition to boxing, the EAPCCO Sports Festival includes a variety of other competitions such as athletics, taekwondo, judo, karate, and shooting events, making it one of the largest and most diverse police sports gatherings in the region.
