AFBC President Eyassu Wossen Calls for Unity Through Sports on his X (Formerly Twitter) Account
Eyassu Wossen, President of the African Boxing Confederation (AFBC), has called for unity, collaboration, and investment in Africa’s potential through sports. In a statement shared on his official Twitter page, Eyassu Wossen emphasized the role of boxing and other competitive disciplines in shaping character, fostering resilience, and driving innovation among youth.
He urged African nations to prioritize sports, education, and entrepreneurship instead of focusing heavily on defense budgets. He also highlighted the need for economic transformation, encouraging African countries to develop their industries rather than relying on raw material exports.
"If every African changed their mindset, invested in our industries, and worked together instead of against each other, there is no limit to what we could achieve," he wrote.
His message reinforces a vision for a self-reliant and prosperous Africa, built on collaboration, strategic development, and the continent’s abundant resources.
